Karlsruhe, October 29, 2026 – Chrono24 is adding an Independent Brands category to its marketplace, creating a permanent dedicated area where buyers can discover Indie watchmakers and browse their available watches. The new destination gives participating brands their own place to present their identity, craftsmanship and watches, while making it easier for collectors and watch enthusiasts to discover original ideas beyond the established names.

The initiative launches with “The Independent Watch Makers – Five Weeks, Five Stories”, a campaign featuring Fears, Airain, Maen, Dwiss and Rönkkö. Each week, the brands will be featured one by one through dedicated brand pages, Chrono24 Magazine stories and curated marketplace listings, supported by social media and newsletter coverage.

Making independent brands easier to find

Independent brands are already represented on Chrono24. However, buyers who do not know a brand’s name yet, have had limited ways to find it on the platform. The new category gives independent watchmakers a clearer route to collectors and watch enthusiasts. Each campaign brand will have space to present its story, approach to watchmaking and collection.

“Independent brands have been present on Chrono24, but they have not always been easy to find unless buyers already knew their names,” says Tom Beitschall, General Manager EMEA at Chrono24. “The new category changes that. It gives these makers a clear place on the marketplace and gives collectors more context before they decide which watches they want to explore.”

Five brands, five weekly features

One brand will be featured each week through a dedicated brand page, a Chrono24 Magazine story and a curated selection of marketplace listings. The campaign will introduce the makers, their design approaches and the watches available on Chrono24.

The new category is designed mainly to help buyers discover independent brands, but also to give them more space to explain how their watches are conceived and made. Often small-batch production, distinctive design languages and close attention to movements and materials are part of what makes independent watchmaking relevant to collectors. The campaign puts those perspectives alongside the watches themselves, allowing buyers to explore both the maker and the collection.

The Independent Brands area will remain available after the five-week campaign, providing a permanent place to find participating brands.
