Karlsruhe, October 5, 2026 – Chrono24 has launched the Market Scanner, a new tool that gives professional dealers on its platform direct access to data on current comparable listings as well as to completed sales on Chrono24. Dealers can search a broad range of watches and see what they are actually selling for, how fast they move, and where demand is concentrated.
For Chrono24, Market Scanner is a direct investment in the dealer side of the business, giving professional sellers the data to support better sourcing and pricing decisions.
Built on the marketplace’s own listings and sales history
Chrono24 has facilitated luxury watch transactions for more than two decades and today operates across more than 150 countries. That accumulated history, together with data from currently active listings, is the basis for Market Scanner: instead of estimating a price from a handful of comparable listings, dealers can see what a specific watch has actually sold for, how that price has moved over recent months, and how long similar watches typically stay listed before they sell. Market Scanner pairs that sales history with live listing data and shows where real buyer demand sits, rather than only what a watch is listed for.
Listing data and sales data, kept clearly apart
Market Scanner distinguishes between what a watch is listed for and what it actually sells for and shows both separately rather than blending them into a single derived figure. Dealers can see the average listing price on Chrono24 and how it has developed over time, alongside the average sales price for the same watch.
On top of pricing, the dashboard surfaces marketplace performance itself: average views and requests for comparable listings, and a direct comparison of how many listings exist against how many requests they generate. That combination shows dealers not only what a watch is worth, but how much genuine buyer interest a watch generates – supply and demand side by side.
What the Market Scanner shows
The dashboard covers a set of core, data-backed indicators for watches where sufficient data is available. Average sales price and its trend over time show what a watch is actually selling for today, not what it sold for a year ago. Time-to-sell indicates how quickly a given watch typically moves, which shapes expectations before a dealer lists it. Market saturation shows where supply for a specific watch is tight or crowded, which feeds directly into sourcing decisions. Top countries show where demand and supply are concentrated by market, useful for dealers weighing where to source or where to sell. Last sales list the most recent transactions for a watch, including listing photos, so dealers can judge condition and context rather than relying on a single average figure.
The analysis goes down to the level of individual watches – reference number, case material and dial color – rather than stopping at brand or broad model level, and dealers can filter results by seller region, availability and time period to narrow the view to what is relevant for their own business.
